Bharti Bhadana, Ph.D., CAPM

Bharti is a Biomanufacturing Scientist at Northern RNA Inc. and has 5+ years of experience in upstream and downstream process development and validation from the scale of 4 L to 1000 L of bioreactors. She previously has worked as a Fermentation Scientist at The Verschuren Centre for Sustainability in Energy and Environment, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, and as a Project Assistant at DBT-IOC Centre for Advanced Bio-Energy Research, India. 

She has an extensive experience in single cell protein production, bioplastic production, enzyme production, and enzymatic saccharification of lignocellulosic biomass. Bharti is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). Furthermore, she is also certified with QA/QC and cGMP fundamentals through BioTalent Canada platform.  

Bharti’s education includes: a Ph.D. in Industrial Microbiology and Bioprocess Technology from University of Quebec, Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Quebec, Canada; a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Manav Rachna International University, Haryana, India; and an honors Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from University of Delhi, India. 

As a Biomanufacturing Scientist, Bharti’s major responsibility is manufacturing of plasmid DNA in the GMP facility of Northern RNA Inc. to accomplish the client’s requirement for their mRNA vaccine production. She is also supporting process/technology development, assisting biochemical and microbiological QC activities, and maintaining BPR and scientific progress reports following GDP.
